Ingredients
- 1–2 firmly ripe avocados (ripe but not soft)
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 4–5 whole garlic cloves
- Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)
Directions
- Add the vinegar, water, and honey to a saucepan and heat on low until the honey dissolves. Remove from the heat and let cool while you prep the avocados.
- Slice each avocado in half, then cut each half into 4 slices (about 8 slices per avocado).
- Add the garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to a glass jar along with the avocado slices. Carefully pour the vinegar mixture over the top.
- Cover with the lid and refrigerate 2–3 hours before eating.
Great as a snack, on eggs, in a burger or wrap, on tacos, or mashed into a pickled guacamole. From lilsipper on Instagram.
