
Ingredients
- Wide pasta (fettuccine or tagliatelle)
- Shrimp, peeled
- Garlic, sliced
- Olive oil
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- Heavy cream
- Grated parmesan (plus more to finish)
- Butter
- Fresh parsley, to garnish
- Salt
Directions
- Cook the wide pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve some pasta water.
- Meanwhile, sear the shrimp in a little oil until just cooked and set aside.
- In the same pan, fry the sliced garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
- Stir in the gochujang, then add the cream and grated cheese to create a smooth sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat, loosening with a splash of pasta water as needed.
- Finish with a knob of butter for gloss, then fold the shrimp back in.
- Plate and top with extra grated parmesan and chopped parsley.
