Ingredients
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2/3 cup milk (room temperature)
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 apples (about 2 pounds), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350F (175C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the beaten eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, powdered sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until smooth.
- Gently fold in the thinly sliced apples until every slice is coated with batter (the batter is thin, so it "disappears" into the apples).
- Pour into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar.
