
Ingredients
- palabok or rice noodles (bihon), cooked
- 3 tablespoons oil
- atsuete (annatto) seeds
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 packet (8 g) Maggi Magic Sarap
- 2 packs (250 ml each) Nestle All-Purpose Cream
Toppings
- poached shrimp
- hard-boiled eggs
- flaked tinapa (smoked fish)
- crushed chicharon
- green onions
- crispy tofu
Directions
- In a pan, heat the atsuete seeds in the oil over low heat to draw out the color, then discard the seeds.
- Add the ground pork and cook, breaking it apart, until lightly browned.
- Season with the fish sauce and Magic Sarap, then let it simmer briefly to absorb the flavors.
- Pour in the all-purpose cream and simmer until the pork is coated and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Arrange the cooked noodles on a serving plate and top with the creamy palabok sauce.
- Finish with the toppings: poached shrimp, hard-boiled eggs, flaked tinapa, crushed chicharon, crispy tofu and green onions.
